CONTENT / CATALOGUE
DISCRIPTION:
Topics include
system of equations and inequalities, matrices and determinants, discrete mathematics and mathematics of finance.
GOALS and
COMPETENCIES:
The aim of this course is to provide knowledge
of fundamentals of algebra and its applications in various areas of science. The student is
expected to
gain mathematical skills in solving systems of linear equations and inequalities, as
well as questions of probability and finance.

EXAMINATION DATES:
Departmental Final Examination. The Final will be based on the course common
competencies and constitute 30% of the grade;
No hand calculators, formula sheets,
etc. may be used on the Final. (Date/Place to be announced)

Final Grade determination:
50%: Chapter Tests Average
30%: Final Examination
